About Chris

Chris joined TAS in 2000, after a career in transport of more than 20 years that includes experience with Government (Welsh Office), Local Authorities (Cheshire and Lancashire County Councils), Bus Operators (Burnley and Pendle and Stagecoach) and Road Hauliers (Sewell Distribution Group).

His particular area of expertise is the critical analysis and redesign of bus networks, involving timetabling, ticketing and fares policy, service planning and vehicle scheduling, and he has successfully managed more than 50 such projects. He also has an ongoing involvement in the development of public transport in Northern Ireland, having first worked in the province in 2004 on the design and implementation of the Metro network for Belfast. During the latter part of 2008 and all of 2009, Chris was on placement with the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai and he spent six months during 2010 with the Bus Office of the Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi. In 2015 Chris provided technical expertise to Promet, the bus operator in Split, Croatia, to assist them in the preparation of tender documents for the supply of new vehicles and spent six weeks in the Middle East providing bid writing support to one of the participants in the first stage of the Dubai RTA bus franchising process.
