In addition to its own long experience of marketing and customer research, TAS has been working in partnership with Research & Marketing Associates Ltd (RAMA) for three years, and has now acquired the business on retirement of its founder Brian Macarthy.

RAMA has been working with bus and coach operators around the country for over 27 years, ever since the first contracts with trent barton and National Express showed how research coupled with detailed analysis and interpretation could be used to enhance operators’ marketing approach. RAMA founder Brian McCarthy spent a lot of time early in his career working alongside marketing and advertising people in the fast moving consumer goods (fmcg) industry where market research is traditionally used to help understand consumer behaviour and motivation in order to increase the effectiveness of the marketing strategy.
